RBNSiZeComm and TSS: An Energy Efficient Communication Schemes for Wireless Networks
نویسندگان
چکیده
Wireless sensor networks typically require low cost devices and low power applications. Hence, such networks usually employ radios with only simple modulation techniques such as ASK, OOK and FSK [9]. We present in this paper, a two energy efficient communication schemes for wireless sensor networks which are a redundant radix based number (RBN) representation i.e. RBNSiZeComm (Redundant Binary Number Silent through Zero digit Communication) scheme and a ternary number system encoding of data TSS (Ternary with Silent Symbol) communication scheme. In this, we see how both the schemes may implemented, the similarities and differences. We propose a transceiver design that uses a hybrid modulation scheme utilizing FSK and ASK so to keep the cost/complexity of the radio devices low. Also, discuss the physical implementation issues.

متن کاملAn Energy Efficient Communication Scheme for Distributed Computing Applications in Wireless Sensor Networks
We propose a new energy efficient communication scheme for multihop wireless sensor networks (WSNs). Our run-zero encoding (RZE) communication scheme utilizes the concepts of the RBNSiZeComm protocol introduced in [1–3]. However, unlike RBNSiZeComm, RZE simultaneously saves energy at both the transmitter and receiver. Also, maintaining synchronization between transmitter and receiver is easier ...
متن کاملAn Energy Efficient Clustering Method using Bat Algorithm and Mobile Sink in Wireless Sensor Networks
Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) consist of sensor nodes with limited energy. Energy efficiency is an important issue in WSNs as the sensor nodes are deployed in rugged and non-care areas and consume a lot of energy to send data to the central station or sink if they want to communicate directly with the sink. Recently, the IEEE 802.15.4 protocol is employed as a low-power, low-cost, and low rat...
